"Something shattered, met gravity, and the pieces caught the light on the way down. Blue, white, translucent — an echo of them still turning. It hasn't hit the ground yet. You're watching it mid-fall. Is it glass? Ice? A window that held for a long time before it didn't? The blue pieces are sharp. Never to return to the smoothness of the glass surface — they have forgotten what they were part of. Two different speeds. Different stories, occupying the same moment."
The condition here is drift — dispersal mid-fall. Terracotta and golden ground, cobalt and white triangular fragments caught between the moment of breaking and the moment of landing. The Cyme medium fixed them there — sharp-edged, turning.
